Christmas Tree

We got our tree December 6th. We always go to the same place every year and usually end up picking out our tree within the first 10 minutes because they are all so beautiful. This year we spent a little more time but then just went back to the first few we picked. It was very cold and windy that day..brrrr. The Christmas tree farm is only Nobles. And they offer hot apple cider and cookies too. Very nice family.

I'm sure we will be back next year!

And here's the decorated tree....

Bath Time

We have moved from the sink to the big tub (awhile ago actually, but I want to share some photos). Jayden has the longest body that he didn't fit in his little baby bath tub anymore. His legs would hang out. So, into the big bath we go. Now, we live in a rental so don't mock the pink tub! lol... He got a little surprise from another family member. Your never alone while bathing! Thanksgiving 2009

We headed to Beth's (James's mom), for Thanksgiving this year. They live in Wenatchee and recently just relocated to another house across the river. There was snow thru the passes but roads were clear - very beautiful. Jayden did very well on the way over. He slept most of the time, on the way back he got a little grumpy but I was too. Ready to be out of the car for sure! :)

My mom also came with us and of cours our first child, Bubba. Beth had two of her friends who live in Yelm visit as well - Rachel and Joe. They were very fun! Yolanda was there with her 3 kids.

We had a great dinner and went to bed early. It was nice to see Beth and Mike and everyone. We don't get over the mountains as much as we would like. We are hoping to go back sooner than later. James is going to go skiing next time ~ I think I will pass! lol

I think this is when Beth fed Jayden some whip cream - He was so excited about it! lol

Halloween

We had a pretty good halloween. Jayden went to daycare the friday before in his little skeleton onesie. And I made Halloween cookies for the kids. His little onesie also glowed in the dark so all the kids thought that was great.

We went to the mall - it was a riot. Completley packed with kids of all ages in all kinds of costumes. It was fun to watch everyone. The stores in the mall have candy. Beats being out in the cold or rain. Perfect for the young kids.

After the mall we went to Grandma Mary's. We all ended up staying the night there. Here are some picks of my little monkey!!!

My nephew

So, I remember back in the day this little annoying kid that would come in my room and wake me up - jump on my bed and say "auntie Shannon wake up...wake up!!!". Now, that little kid is NINETEEN!!!

Robby had a brain tumor when he was about two years old. The tumor was the size of a grapefruit and was located just behind his eyes - he is legally blind to this day and has lived his whole life seeing mostly shadows. He will never drive a car. Blindness does not hold Robby back - I think it made him stronger. He rides bikes, skate boards, ski's, golf's, rides dirtbikes - things that you would think blind kids wouldn't do - AND he's good at it. He went to Vancouver to the school of the blind and all the kids there looked up to him. He's been interviewed on their local tv news station and even been in the paper for his outstanding achievements. He graduated this past June and we are so very proud of him. I don't see him much since he's still in Vancouver - miss you nephew!!! xox

Here's some photos and a few videos of him messing around at the bike park October 2009

Catch up

So, I haven't posted anything in a long time. Catch up time~

Labor day weekend were were supposed to go camping,. But, instead everyone camped out at our house. Fred and Janel brought there trailer and parked it in our drive way. It was a long weekend but it was fun.

We went to the Deff Leppard & Poison concert at the White River Amp. That was so much fun. My friend Michelle her boyfriend Randy and their friend Terry road up there with us. There were more people there then at the Brad Paisley concert! I'm an old butt rocker at heart!

Our friends Joe and Alyssa got married. There wedding was a riot. They had dancing bridesmaids and groomsmen down the aisle and the Bride danced down to "I love Rock'n Roll", a horse and buggy carriage and a huge bbq.

I went to Portland with my best girlies for Lisa's bacherlorette party. We stayed at The Benson - great hotel. Ate dinner and then took a cab ride to Dixies'. We fit 13 people in one cab - don't ask how. But I could barely breathe. We all had a great time~

I had a birthday. I turned 32 this year. I think once you turn 30 you start to forget. Because I just typed 31 and then had to go back...oops. Didn't do anything this year. My birthday was on a Tuesday. So, just family and friends met me for dinner at Mercados. Never been there before but I can't wait to go back. Love the atmosphere and food there.

My best bud Kara had a birthday. And Josh Kangiser was in town. We all went out for an evening of dancing and laughter. Love them!

I will be posting a few other things later, but Jayden just woke from his nap so gotta run!

Deer in the head lights...

Jayden's new thing is to look into the camera with giant eyes. He's all smiles and giggles tell someone pulls out a camera. I just don't get it...lol

Camping

So, we did our first camping trip a few weeks ago. Ocean Shores baby! :) I was hesitant at first bringing Jayden - just cause wasn't sure how it would be with an infant. BUT, we borrowed my Aunt's trailer that she keeps down there. It's super nice. The trailer is in a little gated park. It has a club house with a pool, a playground, walking trail to beach and hot showers. Our friends Fred and Janel and there cutey pah-tutey 3 lil boys came with us. So much fun.

The weather was AWESOME. It was in the mid 70's - sunny off and on. It was one of the few times I've been to O.S. and warm enough to wear tank top and shorts ON the beach! Amazing! People were swimming...I mean...kids were swimming in the ocean (brrr).

We had a good time. Next camping trip - Lake Cushman, Labor day weekend! :)

Sunny Days!

Today the weather was beautiful. I'm not sure how warm it was but my car thermostat read 91. It could have been a few degrees off. Anyway, today my mom took the day off and spent it with Jayden and I. We messed around the house and then drove up to Babies R Us in Tacoma. I love this store. After we spent like two hours in there we went and got a bite to eat. If we would have remembered that it was a holiday weekend ahead we would have left earlier but we got stuck in the dang traffic for an hour and a half. Although, it was a long drive home me and my mom had some good conversation. Jayden did very well, there was only a few times he fussed - After we got home we sat in the back yard on a blanky and just let the summer breeze take us away - Hope you are enjoying your summer! And thanks mom for a wonderful day :) love you. xox

Father's Day

Happy First Father's day James!

The day started off with french toast, James's favorite breakfast. I think we mostly hung out around home (it was a few weeks ago and I'm writting this blog late, oops). Anyway, we met for dinner with my mom, my dad, James's dad and mom. We ate at the Ranch House BBQ...mmmmm ribs so yummy! Here are a few pics of James reading his first father's day card and a new book "Me and my dad" to Jayden - awhh...

80's buttrock

So, this Saturday was my brother, Shaun's, 40th birthday party. The theme was 80's...but mostly butt rock 80's! Leave it to my butt rocker brother to have a themed party of this sort. I went for the butt rocker look in my Metallica t-shirt that I found at JCPenney's!!!! All my accessories came from Claire's..the jelly bracelets, gloves and paper clip chocker. You couldn't see my earings but they were giant black stars with glitter on them (and those I had before the party..shhh). I can't believe how much neon and 80's stuff they actually sell in the stores in 2009!

James and Jayden were dressed as Run DMC and lil MC :) I found a black onesie with fake painted on gold chains. So cute. I'm so glad that I took pictures early because it wasn't long when he barfed all over himself. ha

My brother's outfit was so funny I could barely look at him without laughing. I even asked him if he sewed in his mullet wig (like Joe Dirt). He was even wearing shoes that had Iron Maiden on them. Everyone at the party was dressed up. There was even a guy with a REAL mullet! lol

Well, anyway...we all had a great time. Happy 40th birthday Bro!! Love ya!!

This is Amy, Shaun and Anna with my brother's 80's boat!! lol

James aka Run the bbq master and his lil sidekick mini Run! haha...

Me, James and Jayden...great family photo!

He was even wearing a cell phone that came from the 80's!

Softball

So, James has been playing softball agian and I finally made it to one of his games. Although, it was hard to pay attention to what inning it was or who was winning because Jayden was being a little booby monster, but it was still "good times". James's mom, Beth, came for the first game, she had spent a couple days with us - but then headed back to home to Wenatchee. It was Jaydens first time to see his daddy play ball! :)

Us at the ball park

Go James go!

Jayden and Ashlyn making new friends. lol Jayden doens't look so thrilled here in this picture. He was a little cranky...
