Painting

So, over last weekend I decided to paint our spare room which will be the baby's room. Since we rent, our landlords don't want us to paint unless they approve the color and what not. I didn't feel like dealing wiht them so I just painted basic white. The place needs to be painted all over but just so the room feels clean and new I only did the one.

James ended up having to work so my mom came over to help. We had 3 sheets on the floor so there was one spot of carpet showing. Our carpet in that room is a horrible emerald green (not my liking). We had the ceiling done and two walls. I was doing the rolling and my mom was doing all the trim. I thought we were making good time when....

My mom got down from her chair and stepped right on the side of the paint tray. I heard her gasp and when I looked over, all I saw was white paint fly! Of course it landed on the only part NOT covered by sheets. White paint on dark emerald green carpet. At first I was like NO EFFIN WAY! And then my mom started shouting for me to go get warm water and hurry. So, (you should have seen me)...I can't run~I'm waddling to the kitchen half pissed and half laughing...after about 10 buckets of hot water and soap the paint actually came out. Good thing it was water based paint. After it was all over with we laughed so hard I almost wet my pants!lol Next...carpets are being cleaned!

Here's a pic from 3 weeks ago~me making some snacks - I rarely take pregnancy photos.....

The Flu

I'm feeling like a hypercondriac - except these illiness are true...this past last week was a doozy. I came home from work last Friday and laid down, wasn't feeling well. Woke up around 6:30 and that's when I starting getting sick. I threw up for over 8 hours. Called my doc and then headed for the hospital at 3am. Yup, I was dehydrated. They got me all nestled in, tried to put an IV in my arm but had to try several times as my blood wood sorta suck back in from being so dehydrated. Finally they got it. So, I ended up staying through the night and tell Saturday afternoon. They just said I had a flu bug. There was actually another pregnant woman in the unit that had the same symptoms as I did. So, something was going around.

Baby was monitored and was doing just great. They were worried that the stress of everything and dehydration that it would start early labor. Thank god it didn't. I'm only 29 weeks. We did "hear" another woman giving birth down the hall, because I was in the birthing unit. I told James to turn the tv up because it freaked me out at first but then we heard the baby cry and it was pretty cool.

After I got home, I went into a sleeping coma tell Sunday and that's when the other fun thing began. The cha-cha's are not fun for two days. I really thought I wasn't never going to return to my regular self agian. :(

With losing 5lbs and barely having an appetite I finally got better. Last night I ate my first real meal (besides soup and Jello). I've never been sick like that before...and never want to be that sick agian. I just have to say thanks to my little friends...saltine crackers. Thank you!

Testing...

I went to the doc last week for another routine check up. I also had to do the lovely test for gestational diabetes - the awful sugar drink. Well, my results were a little high. So, I had to go back for more lab work....

Fasting from the night before plus 3 hours of testing and giving blood. I got to the lab at 9am. And of course, my doctors office never sent over the paperwork. I wasted a whole hour waiting for them to fax the information over. I was so annoyed and almost left to go get it myself, after all, my doctors office was just two blocks away. So, after the THIRD call to them and a couple of huffs and puffs later...they finally faxed it over. My testing finally started around 10 and lasted tell 1pm.

So by 1pm I was starving. It had been 17 hours since I and lil baby Jayden had anything to eat. YIKEY! I scarfed down a sandwhich and headed into work. What a short yet long day. They said I should find out maybe tomorrow the results to my tests, I'm crossing my fingers!
